Gate valves for reliable opening and shut-off
A gate valve shuts off with a wedge or gate that moves into the seat perpendicular to the pipe. In the open position, the bore is completely clear, so the valve causes minimal pressure loss and the medium flows through unobstructed. Gate valves are intended for on/off applications and not for regulating flow. Available in cast iron, bronze, stainless steel and steel, with flanged or threaded connections.
